Access support information and find other ways of meeting your support needs

We hope very much that you are finding this website a source of both useful information and support. It has largely been put together by a community of people with first-hand experience of being bereaved through drug and alcohol use themselves - we hope you hear the voice of their support throughout the site.

Sometimes it can be a help to know you are not the only person going through the experience of losing your loved one to drugs or alcohol. Read our personal experiences section

It may be that understanding more about the grieving process or the practical challenges you might face can also help. Click here for information about grieving and practicalities.

There are times, though, when you may want someone to talk to. This page points you to several different sources of one-to-one or group support.

BEAD project and support

The BEAD project was funded to deliver peer support by the Big Lottery Fund for four years from 2013.

This funding ended in September 2017 - therefore we are unfortunately no longer able to provide this support.
